Sensing of the covenant, “Zheng” together. On November 5, the 2023 World Sensor Conference officially kicked off in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Well-known academicians and experts in the field of sensors and enterprise representatives gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions on the technological frontier, industrial trends and hot issues in the field of sensors, share the latest achievements in sensor technology, industry and application, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the sensor industry.
The three-day conference is hosted by China Association for Science and Technology and Henan Provincial People’s Government. The keynote speech of the conference was chaired by Shen Weiming, a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
The thought collision of top coffee, “sensing about” opened again
Smart sensors, as the basis for the interconnection of everything and the intelligence of everything, are the key core to help the innovation and development of the information technology industry. As an important platform for industry cultivation and exchange and cooperation, the World Sensor Congress has been successfully held for four sessions and has had a wide impact in the industry.
Starting from Zhengzhou, dialogue with the world. This conference once again welcomed the industry’s top big coffee gathered wisdom:

Roberto Gusulfino, President of the Italian instrument Manufacturers’ Association GISI, Felix Kurz, Vice President of the German-Chinese Federation of Friendship Associations, Fabien Pacory, Vice President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China and other representatives of international organizations; Wang Chenglu, CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development Co., LTD., Li Ke, Vice president of CCID Research Institute, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and representatives of well-known enterprises such as Siemens, Unigroup Computer, Heidelberg, Rhewe Group, Stilla, Hexon, Beijing Smart Chip, Hanwei Technology, Jingdong, Baidu and so on attended the meeting.
Chu Junhao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and dean of the Institute of Optoelectronics of Fudan University, made a keynote report entitled “Infrared Sensors in the Context of the Intelligent Era”. He pointed out that in all the technological situations of the intelligent era, accurate sensors are needed to get physical information, to achieve digitization, and to carry out intelligent analysis and processing. Based on his own research results, he introduced several new advances in infrared sensor research. It is necessary to develop intelligent image recognition technology based on high-performance, multi-spectrum, infrared information acquisition, and develop intelligent chips for intelligent devices in the Internet of Things, so as to truly make powerful devices in the intelligent era.
Kenneth Glatter, a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and professor at City College, University of London, made a keynote report entitled “Fiber Optic Sensors in Industrial Applications”. He believes that how the data of the entire physical world is obtained depends on sensors, so sensors will become more and more important in the entire digital process in the future. He introduced the performance advantages of optical sensors and the great potential for future development. In the era of rapid development of smart sensors, optical technology can provide low-cost solutions. Professor Glatter also introduced in detail the latest application achievements and industrial solutions of optical fiber sensors in the fields of power, water conservancy, environmental protection, bridge safety monitoring and so on.
Wang Chenglu, CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development Co., LTD., made a theme report entitled “Kaihong security digital Base, Building the security cornerstone of iot sensors”. As the founder of HarmonyOS, Wang Chenglu introduced the focus on the construction of open-source Hongmeng ecology, the deep cultivation of OS core technology, the formation of an open and leading “Kaihong security digital base”, and vigorously promote the digital application and demonstration in transportation, urban, education, health care and other industries. He hopes to help all walks of life with an open source base, so that different physical devices and sensors can produce real-time, safe, reliable and comprehensive data under a unified standard, coupled with a large model in the field, to accelerate the transformation of digitalization and intelligence in various industries.
Li Ke, vice president of CCID Consulting Co., Ltd. released the “2023 Global sensor Industry Trend Research Report” on the spot. Finally, host Shen Weiming said that sensors, as the source of data information acquisition, not only promote the digitization and networking of the industry, but also promote the intelligent development of products. We hope that we can jointly promote sensor innovation and make the sensor industry bigger and stronger.
There will be 10 separate activities under the keynote report, and the industry will focus on MEMS, smart logistics, medical rehabilitation and other key areas to carry out exchanges.
