Honeywell and Inner Mongolia Zhongneng Biotechnology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhongneng”) signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation to cooperate on the application of ethanol to aviation coal technology, and planned to establish a sustainable aviation fuel demonstration plant with an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tons in Wuyuan County. Honeywell will also support the airworthiness certification and market development of sustainable aviation fuels produced at the facility.

In addition, the two sides will explore cooperation opportunities to promote sustainable aviation fuel from cellulosic ethanol in other regions, to help China expand sustainable aviation fuel production capacity, and promote carbon emission reduction and sustainable development of China’s aviation industry.
