On November 7, 2023, the China-Europe Intelligent Robot and Automation Conference 2023 was successfully held in Yanjiao High-tech Zone, Langfang, Hebei Province. This event is co-sponsored by CCID Consulting Co., LTD., China Science and Technology Automation Alliance, Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance, Chinese Scholars Computer Society in Germany, Sino-Italian Advanced Manufacturing Joint Laboratory, and hosted by Smart Factory Research Institute (Beijing Zhuoyi Smart Technology Service Co., LTD.). The conference invited domestic and European robotics and automation research scholars, enterprise representatives, investment and financing institutions and other more than 100 people to participate.
In the morning session of the event, the academic representative Wang Tianmiao, professor of the Institute of Robotics, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the director of the Key Laboratory of Mechanical Industry Service Robots, and Mr. Zhang Yanda, vice president of Schneider Electric (China) Co., Ltd. on behalf of the business community, were invited to discuss the new industrialization from two dimensions of scientific research dynamics and industry practice.

Professor Wang Tianmiao made a speech entitled “Analysis of the development of robot embodied intelligence”, introduced the latest development of robot embodied intelligence, and his team’s research results in this field, and shared the application of embodied intelligence technology in the field of materials, core components, large models and general robots, in medical, industrial and military fields.
Mr. Zhang Yanda’s speech focused on “Digital transformation to empower industrial manufacturing”, and Mr. Zhang shared with the audience how Schneider Electric, as a traditional European company, realizes intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation in the industrial field. Mr. Zhang said that digital transformation is a four-in-one empowerment: the whole industry, the whole process, the whole value chain, and the whole life cycle, which requires friends from all walks of life to work together to move towards an open, resilient, efficient and sustainable industrial world in the future.
Roundtable dialogue
The last round table dialogue interactive session in the morning was hosted by Mr. Wang Jian, President of Smart Factory Research Institute and Vice president of China Science and Technology Automation Alliance. The dialogue invited Mr. Zhang Yanda, Vice President of Schneider Electric (China) Co., LTD., Mr. Li Qingdu, Dean of Machine Intelligence Research Institute of Shanghai University of Science and Technology, Mr. Chen Ji, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China Sewing Machinery Association, Mr. Li Ning, Managing director of General Technology Venture Capital Co., LTD., and Mr. Han Feng, Deputy general manager of Hanwang Technology Co., LTD., to participate in the discussion. We discussed digital Intelligence Transformation: Challenging Opportunities and Best practices. From the perspective of enterprises, researchers, investment institutions, and industry organizations, the experts expressed their opinions freely. The experts’ comprehensive, in-depth, professional and forward-looking views benefited the audience.
The activities in the afternoon of the conference mainly focused on sharing and discussing the key technologies and core components of robots, and the views were more focused and in-depth.
