From a team of 5 people to a new national specialty “Little Giant”

Canop is located in Longtan Industrial robot industrial functional zone, Chenghua District, is a professional engaged in industrial robot core parts and industrial robots, collaborative robot machine R & D, production and sales of enterprises.

It is hard to imagine that today’s growing company was founded in 2012 with just five people. At that time, after analyzing the entire industry market, the team chose a track that did not burn money – to produce controllers for industrial robots, which is equivalent to producing the “brain” of robots. After three years of technical research and independent innovation, in 2015, Canop successfully became the leading manufacturer of industrial robot controllers in China, and gained a strong reputation in the industry.

Mastering the core technology, Canop began to transform.

At the end of 2018, Canop released its first self-produced robot – a welding robot. Nowadays, the company has produced more than 10 kinds of robot models, which has occupied half of the domestic industrial robot market, and the products have been used in batches in Guangzhou Qifan, BYD, Foxconn and other enterprises. In addition, more than 20 countries and regions such as Germany, Russia, Vietnam and Thailand also have a place for Canop. Canop has become an industry leader with annual sales of tens of thousands of control systems and an annual output of thousands of robot machines.

“The company always puts research and development in the first place, and currently has a research and development team of more than 100 people, including the complete process of software, electronics, power, machinery, sensing, and scene.” Deng Shihai revealed the “secret” of the company to achieve leapfrog development – high R&D investment. It is reported that in 2021, Canop research and development investment accounted for nearly 13% of sales revenue.

Will realize mass “robot artificial robot”

In January 2020, with the strong support of Chenghua District, Canop obtained 20 acres of industrial land in Longtan Huayue Road to build an industrial base.

In January last year, Chengdu Kanop intelligent robot industry base construction project started, covering an area of about 36,000 square meters, the main building has been completed, is expected to be completed in the first half of this year. After the completion of the base, it will achieve mass “robot artificial robots”, and the annual output capacity of postpartum robots will exceed 30,000 sets, with an annual output value of more than 2 billion yuan, becoming a domestic industrial robot head enterprise.

At present, Canop is actively preparing for listing in the science and technology board.

This small micro technology enterprise successfully incubated by Chenghua District College Students Pioneer Park, took root in Chenghua for 10 years, and grew into the first batch of gazelle enterprises in Sichuan Province that master the “hard core” technology of robot control system.
