Nidec Transmission Technology Co., LTD., a group company of NIDEC, has
developed the “Smart-FLEXWAVE,” which is a product with built-in torque sensors,
temperature sensors and Angle sensors in the “FLEXWAVE,” a precision control
reducer for machine tools and a robotic arm that is currently on the market.
The “FLEXWAVE” precision reducer with fluctuating gear mechanism sold by
NIDco Transmission Technology in the market has the characteristics of light, compact, high rotation accuracy and ultra-low backlash. Because it can obtain a high reduction ratio in a single shaft, it is often used for joint drive of industrial robot arms. The Smartâ‚‹FLEXWAVE integrates a torque sensor, a temperature sensor and an Angle sensor in the reducer to detect the output torque, the internal temperature of the reducer and the input shaft without leaving the space of a traditional reducer. This will help make cobots smaller and lighter, and also increase productivity by remotely monitoring robotic arm collisions and overload detection, screw tightening torque, overheating, stop position, and more over the network.
In addition, the new series of reducers will be exhibited at the “Tokyo International Robot Exhibition 2023” in Tokyo Big Sight(Tokyo International Convention and Exhibition Center) from November 29 to December 2, 2023 (the company’s booth: East 1-3 Hall E2-27).
In the future, NIDco Drive Technologies will continue to provide industrial energy efficiency equipment using our expertise in reducers and continuously variable speed machines in various fields, contributing to increased productivity and automation.
The vigorous development of the digital economy has played an important role in promoting the growth of China’s data center industry. Data from the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology show that in 2022, the scale of China’s digital economy exceeded the 50 trillion yuan mark for the first time, and the proportion of digital economy in GDP increased to 41.5%. The acceleration of the digitization process has promoted the rapid growth of the construction of data centers and digital infrastructure. In particular, the national level of computing power supply to enhance action and technology enterprises on the demand for intelligent computing to further stimulate the growth of supercomputing centers, intelligent computing centers and other new data centers, it is expected that by 2025, China’s computing power scale will exceed 300 EFLOPS, of which intelligent computing power accounted for 35%, the market growth potential is huge.
