● How does the Mechanical Directive change to mechanical regulations affect you?
The new EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 will replace the existing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which has been in force since 29 December 2009. The regulation was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 29 June 2023 and will enter into force in January 2027. Manufacturers and operators now have time to familiarize themselves with the new machinery regulations. If you compare the automation and engineering technologies of today with the requirements and technologies of 14 years ago, the revision is very reasonable. Digitization and networking, and the associated new issues of industrial safety and artificial intelligence, have dramatically changed the factory floor as well as the equipment and machinery within it. Other changes to be aware of will be covered in the lecture.
● Peer Magnetic services for mechanical regulations
New machinery regulations are coming, but what practical impact will it have on users’ production processes? In this lecture, Peel Magnetic will show how to best prepare as a machine manufacturer or operator, and how Peel Magnetic can provide support. On the one hand, mechanical regulations should be meaningfully integrated into the process. On the other hand, projects must be adjusted and planned in a timely manner according to the new specifications.
