China’s 5G+ industrial Internet projects have reached 8,000, covering all 41 categories of industry, and 5G applications in the industrial field account for more than 60%. At the same time, the purchase price of operators’ 5G base stations fell by 53% in the early stage of 5G+ industrial Internet development, and the cost of 5G key components fell by 90%. Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the meeting that the industrial chain will be carried out collaborative research, promote the breakthrough of the industrial Internet and industrial software, industrial control system and other key products, and build a “5G+ industrial Internet” standard system. The industrial base has been continuously improved
A series of vivid application scenarios were displayed at the meeting, indicating that China’s 5G+ industrial Internet has entered a new stage of large-scale development. At the China Unicom booth, the reporter saw that through personalized custom mall orders, the data is immediately transmitted to the factory’s central control system, the system immediately arranges production, and a pair of shoes can be produced as soon as 2 hours.
“5G has gone from peripheral auxiliary links such as production site monitoring and factory intelligent logistics to core control links such as remote equipment control and equipment collaborative work.” Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Information and Communication Administration level inspector Wang Peng said.
Lu Chuncong, president of the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, introduced that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology continued to implement the three-year action plan, implemented the industrial Internet innovation and development project for six consecutive years, selected five batches of nearly 600 pilot demonstration projects, and supported the creation of eight industrial Internet industrial demonstration bases and six industrial Internet demonstration zones. Pilot projects for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises and urban pilot projects were carried out, and 98 public service platforms and 30 pilot cities were selected respectively.
The industrial foundation of the industrial Internet has been continuously improved. Research and development and industrialization of key technologies such as industrial Ethernet, edge computing, virtual/augmented reality, industrial big data, and artificial intelligence have been accelerated. The integration of 5G and the industrial Internet has driven the rapid growth of the market size of industrial chips, industrial modules, and intelligent terminals. More than 20,000 5G virtual private networks have been built. The identity analysis system has 325 secondary nodes online, and more than 310,000 service enterprises. Cultivate 50 “double-span” platforms, and connect nearly 90 million units (sets) of industrial equipment on key platforms.
The industrial ecology is getting stronger. A number of leading enterprises have set up industrial Internet research departments, and the enterprise-dominated, market-oriented technological innovation ecological construction has achieved initial results, effectively helping the middle and downstream, large and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial chain to integrate and innovate. A talent training system integrating production and education has been initially established, and more than 100 colleges and universities have added industrial Internet-related majors.
“In general, the policy environment continues to improve, the ‘point, line and surface’ policy system continues to improve, and more detailed support policies are introduced.” The infrastructure has been continuously consolidated, and the industrial private network has been upgraded in quantity and quality, forming a good situation of “promoting use by construction and building with construction”. Industry applications have expanded in depth, 5G factories have achieved obvious results, and artificial intelligence technology has accelerated.
