“Yuezihao” industrial robots are rising
Guangdong is known as the top student in the robot industry, both domestic and foreign well-known enterprises such as Kuka, Dazu, Kawasaki, Mingluo, but also cultivated a number of local “rookies”, such as Shenlong, Jiateng, Lissinda, Haichuan Intelligence, etc. On the robot “track”, Guangdong, a large manufacturing province, has been laid out in advance, and frequent favorable policies have added force to the development of the robot industry. In 2020, the Action Plan for Cultivating Strategic Emerging Industrial Clusters of Intelligent Robots in Guangdong Province (2021-2025) proposes that by 2025, the operating income of the intelligent robot industry will reach 80 billion yuan, of which the operating income of the service robot industry will reach 20 billion yuan, and the operating income of the drone (ship) industry will reach 50 billion yuan. The annual output of industrial robots exceeds 100,000 units.
However, how can Guangdong build industrial robot industrial clusters and become bigger and stronger? On this issue, Yangcheng Evening News reporter interviewed Ren Yutong, executive president of Guangdong Robot Association. Ren Yutong said that domestic robots are mainly produced and used in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Sea Rim three regions, compared with the other two places, Guangdong’s Pearl River Delta region as the world’s largest industrial robot application market, which means that the production and development of industrial robots will be useful here.
From a policy perspective, in 2021, the “14th Five-Year Plan for the high-quality Development of Manufacturing in Guangdong Province” proposes to promote the demonstration application of industrial robots in high-end manufacturing and traditional pillar industries based on Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan, and build a domestic leading and world-renowned robot industry innovation, research and development and production base. In April this year, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released industrial economic data in the first quarter, showing that the province’s industrial robot production increased by 4.1% year-on-year, and the output accounted for 32.5% of the country.
However, some experts pointed out that compared with the world’s advanced level, China’s robot industry still has a certain gap, such as insufficient technology accumulation, original research, theoretical research, and the lack of positive design capabilities. Zhang Yi pointed out that the current rapid development of the robot industry, on the industrial chain of all parties collaborative innovation and application iteration put forward new requirements, key parts quality stability, reliability and other aspects should continue to strengthen, in the face of the “neck” technical problems, the courage to break through innovation, to achieve domestic replacement of industrial robot parts, to promote the further upgrade of China’s robot industry.
“We must admit that there is still a gap between us and foreign industrial robots.” Ren Yutong stressed that there is a certain gap between domestic robots and foreign robots, whether from the robot’s load, load, or from the accuracy and use time. The ultimate development goal of robots is to achieve “unmanned factory” and “black light factory”, the current technology accumulation is far from enough, and continuous research and development is needed to support the “robot heat”.
