Teledyne DALSA is pleased to announce the production of its AxCIS™ family of high-speed high-resolution fully integrated linear array imaging modules. This easy-to-use contact image sensor (CIS) combines sensors, lenses and lights into a low-cost inspection system for many demanding machine vision applications.
The new AxCIS high-speed, high-resolution linear array solution is suitable for space-constrained systems
AxCIS is equipped with Teledyne’s multi-line CMOS image sensor, which has monochromatic image acquisition line frequency up to 120 kHz and HDR image line frequency of 60 kHz x 2 at a pixel size of 28 µm or a resolution of 900 dpi. Therefore, the detection accuracy of defects is very high.
Its unique sensor design covers the entire field of view without bad spots, providing 100% seamless images without interpolation. Dual-line HDR imaging with independent exposure control improves dynamic range and detectibility of highly reflective materials for applications such as metrology.
AxCIS is designed to be scalable and suitable for multiple fields of view. Its compact form factor and dustproof design allow it to be installed almost anywhere in the system, even where vertical clearance is limited. Its Camera Link HS SFP+ optical fiber interface transmits high-resolution images through the standard low-cost long cable (up to 300m), and the data transmission is highly reliable.
