Recently, China’s first set of nationally produced trusted DCS based on Feiteng CPU was successfully put into operation in the auxiliary control system of China Huaneng Weihai Power Plant, marking that China Huaneng has made another major breakthrough in the field of power safety after taking the lead in realizing the autonomous control system of power generation control based on Feiteng CPU. It is also another major achievement of Feiten CPU in the field of power generation, which will provide a safer and more reliable operating environment for the smooth operation of the power station and help the safety of power production.
Over the years, the basic hardware and software in the fields of automation and industrial control in China have almost been monopolized by foreign giants, gathering a large number of information system security risks. Traditional single protection system, it is difficult to achieve overall system safety, can not achieve active immunity and “depth” protection, China’s industrial control system is still facing serious security risks. This forces us to establish a domestic industrial control system product system, program system and ecosystem based on security underlying architecture and standards.
In order to solve the problem of “jam neck” of the core control system, China Huaneng successfully developed the first set of nationally produced trusted DCS system based on Feiteng CPU. The system adopts 100% domestic design and uses Feiten FT-2000/4 CPU as the secure and reliable computing power support, which realizes the comprehensive trust of the hardware and software of the CPU chip, operating system, middleware and control application in the core of the control system for the first time.
Based on the security features of Feitao processor, the system carries out trusted customization research and development of hardware, firmware, real-time operating system, industrial control applications and other layers, which can effectively prevent malicious penetration, manipulation and tampering attacks launched from multiple paths, ensuring not only the reliability and security of the industrial control system, but also the real-time, reliability, power consumption, redundant switching and other technical requirements of the industrial control system. The system has passed the trusted authority certification of relevant ministries and commissions, and is the first and only industrial control system that has passed the full-stack trusted function test and verification in China.
At present, the nationally produced trusted DCS system based on Feiteng-based CPU runs smoothly in Weihai Power plant, and the core endogenous safety functions such as startup trust, static trust and dynamic trust are 100% invested, realizing the comprehensive security guarantee of “static start, dynamic operation and real-time trust” for the power plant control system. It indicates that China’s thermal power generation control system has realized essential safety.
CPU is the security cornerstone of information system. At present, Feiteng is promoting the landing application of trusted computing CPU with practical actions. Relying on the technology accumulation in the design of domestic autonomous controllable CPU chips, Feiteng introduced the first Security Architecture specification at the CPU level, PSPA (Phytium Security Platform Architecture), and realized the security architecture of trusted Computing 3.0.
