“5G+” is the main battlefield for innovation and development
“5G+ Industrial Internet” is not only the main position of 5G convergence application, but also the main battlefield of industrial Internet innovation and development. According to the statistics of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, all over the country have carried out the exploration of “5G+ industrial Internet”, and more than 1,500 projects are under construction, covering more than 20 key industries of the national economy. In the third “Blooming Cup” competition, the “5G+ Industrial Internet” participating scheme accounted for more than 28%, and the first prize scheme accounted for 80%.
“The exploration of 5G in industrial Internet vertical industries such as power, ports, mining and manufacturing will empower existing production links and promote the digital transformation of enterprises.” Cao Jiguang, deputy director of the Institute of Technology and Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, believes that the current combination of 5G and industrial links such as manufacturing, quality inspection, fault operation and maintenance, logistics and transportation, and safety management has formed 10 typical application scenarios such as remote equipment control, machine vision quality inspection, factory intelligent logistics, and unmanned intelligent inspection. It embodies the six industrial Internet models of digital research and development, intelligent manufacturing, personalized customization, network collaboration, service extension, and lean management.
In Chongqing Xinxing General Transmission Co., LTD., the 3D model of the workshop site and the internal state of the equipment simulated by the digital twin mechanism model is transmitted to the VR glasses in real time through the 5G network, and the technical staff can wear the glasses and visually monitor the heat treatment furnace without being present. In the past, such inspection required technicians to go to the workshop every two hours, which was not only inefficient but also a security risk.
“On the basis of INDICS industrial Internet platform, with the help of 5G, digital twin and other technologies, the internal environment of the factory is made into a 3D model, the whole process of the production process of the equipment is displayed in real time, and the remote visual inspection of the factory environment and the operating status of the equipment is completed in combination with VR terminals.” Tang Tao, deputy general manager of Aerospace Cloud Network Technology Development Co., LTD., said that the program effectively shortened the working time of personnel, increased the efficiency of equipment operation and maintenance by 25%, and reduced the incidence of safety accidents by 95%. At the same time, through real-time analysis of product quality, the staff can accurately control the process of the heat treatment process, and the pass rate of the product is increased to 98%.
“These typical application scenarios have been applied to a certain scale in five key industries, including electronic equipment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, steel industry, mining industry and power industry, and have strong replication and promotion and application demonstration value.” Cao Jili light said.
