Parker Hannifin, a pioneer in motion and control technology, recently released the 2023 Sustainability Report, which focuses on the company’s achievements in protecting the environment, advancing clean technology, creating a safe industrial workplace and strengthening communities under the theme of “Leading with purpose.”

Nearly two-thirds of Parker’s global technology portfolio includes solutions that support electrification and lightweighting, cleaner, more efficient energy sources such as batteries, fuel cells and hydrogen, and other innovations that positively impact the environment.

Key achievements outlined in the FY2023 Sustainable Development Report include:
Ensuring the safety of team members: All Parker workplaces prioritize a shared commitment to safety, reducing recordable safety incidents by 45 percent and lost time incidents by 33 percent over the past five years. Overall, Parker’s safety performance ranks in the top 25% of diversified industrial manufacturers.
Reducing carbon impact: To reduce its environmental impact, Parker completed a number of carbon reduction projects on its site 2711P-T10C4D8 during the fiscal year, including solar panel installations, lighting retrofits, and HVAC system upgrades. These initiatives will help Parker achieve its goal of reducing its operational carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and becoming carbon neutral by 2040.
Research and development of clean technologies: More than 40% of 2711P-T10C4D8 Parker’s research and development in fiscal 2023 was related to expanding an interconnected portfolio of clean technologies, with a focus on electrification and emerging alternative fuels such as hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels.
• Making a positive impact on communities: Parker and the Parker Foundation have donated more than $9 million to charities that help strengthen communities around the world, with the majority of these donations aligned with the Foundation’s three focus areas of STEM education, community needs and sustainability.
