The era of digital intelligence is fully opened
Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile Communications Group Co., LTD., said that the world is experiencing major changes unseen in a century, the economic and social environment has DSDP150 undergone profound and complex changes, and the information and communication industry will also face new situations and new changes, one of the manifestations is that the economy and society have accelerated into the era of digital intelligence.
Yang Jie said that after years of gestation and development, the fourth industrial revolution is at the threshold of a major breakthrough, and the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic has accelerated the process of digitalization, networking and intelligence of the whole society, and the era of digital intelligence has been fully opened. Digital intelligence refers to a new growth mode created by the combination of digitalization and intelligence. It is a new growth mode that further introduces information technology and data on the basis of the growth model driven by traditional elements such as labor and capital.
Yang Jie said that the cross-border integration of industries has spawned new economic forms, DSDP150 and it is expected that by 2025, the size of China’s information service market will reach 20.4 trillion yuan.
Ke Ruiwen, chairman of China Telecom Group Co., LTD., said that 2020 is the first full year after the commercial use of 5G in China, and despite the severe impact of the new coronavirus epidemic, China’s 5G scale commercial development is still rapid, and remarkable results have been achieved in innovation leadership, network coverage and user scale.
Quruiwen said that 5G commercial use so far, with the joint efforts of all sectors of the industry, the development results have gradually emerged. The popularization of 5G terminals is accelerating, 5G private network services are gradually landing, and 5G has achieved remarkable results in helping urban governance. In addition, the construction of new information infrastructure, industrial digitalization and upgrading, as well as new models and new business forms such as distance education, telemedicine, and live streaming e-commerce have also become new engines to promote new consumption and smooth the domestic cycle.
Quruiwen said that 5G is still in the early stage of development, and it needs the joint efforts of all sectors of the industry to fully meet customer expectations and further develop maturity. For example, in the network, 5G technical standards are still evolving, and equipment supporting the R16 standard is not mature. In terms of terminals, it is also necessary to speed up the support for SA upgrading and opening, and the industrialization process of SA modules needs to be accelerated; In terms of application, 5G personal application scenarios are not rich enough, and industrial Internet applications are still in the exploratory period; In terms of its own operation, the operating costs of 5G networks are increasing, and higher requirements are also put forward for customer operation services.
During the Mobile World DSDP150 Congress, the “5G millimeter Wave Exhibition Area” sponsored by China United Network Communications Group Co., LTD and the Global System for Mobile Communications Association and supported by Qualcomm made a wonderful appearance. China Unicom deputy general manager Mai Yanzhou said that China Unicom is committed to carrying out the Winter Olympics scene millimeter wave pilot test, driving the industrial chain to accelerate development. The 5G millimeter Wave exhibition area was jointly built with ecological partners such as the Global System for Mobile Communications Association and Qualcomm, which showed the phased results of the development of the 5G millimeter wave industry chain and laid an important foundation for accelerating the deployment of 5G millimeter wave in China.
It is understood that 5G millimeter wave aims to bring new experiences and applications to consumers DSDP150 and industry users, and create huge opportunities for digital economy innovation and change.
China has become the world’s largest 5G market
The “2021 China Mobile Economic Development Report” released by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association shows that China’s 5G penetration rate is continuing to grow rapidly and will become one of the leading markets for 5G applications.
According to the report, as of January 2021, there are 144 commercial 5G networks in 57 countries around the world, with about 235 million 5G connections. China has become the world’s largest 5G market, with more than 200 million 5G connections by the end of 2020. The rapid transition to 5G means that 4G applications in China have reached their peak, and 4G applications will continue to decline in the next few years.
The report pointed out that China’s 5G growth is due to policy support, operators’ vigorous deployment of infrastructure, and the vigorous development of the terminal ecosystem. The report predicts that from 2020 to 2025, China’s mobile operators will invest nearly $210 billion in network construction, of which 90% will be invested in 5G.
The report said that China has a number of internationally renowned smartphone manufacturers, and Chinese smartphone production will affect 5G applications in China and around the world. (Reporter Zhang Hanqing)
