ACS800-104-0145-3+Q967 In response to the growing demand for compact edge devices with ARM processors, Softing Industries has successfully integrated ARM compatibility into its mature edgeConnector products.
Previously, the edgeConnector solution could only be integrated into large PCS, and in June last year, edgeConnector’s ARM 64-bit compatibility was successfully implemented. Now, Softing Industries has introduced edgeConnector Siemens, edgeConnector 840D and edgeConnector Modbus in new version 3.80, all of which support hardware solutions for ARM 32-bit architecture.
ACS800-104-0145-3+Q967 Abel Jimenez, Industrial Product Manager at Softing, said: “The introduction of ARM 32-bit compatibility in Softing’s edgeConnector products is an important step in our innovation strategy. This enables our customers to use this product solution in a wider range of edge devices, such as open source hardware boards such as the WAGO Compact Controller 100, WAGO PFC 200 and Allwinner A20. We are always committed to providing our customers with advanced and flexible solutions to meet the needs of the changing industrial environment.”
ACS800-104-0145-3+Q967 The edgeConnector product family’s Docker-based software modules are easy to deploy, run on standard hardware, and can be easily managed centrally, with access to process data in SIMATIC S7, SINUMERIK 840D, and Modbus TCP controllers. These modules also provide a secure and flexible means of transmission to integrate production data into innovative and efficient industrial iot solutions.
