Rugged aluminum housing for harsh environments
Pepperl+Fuchs, a family-owned company based in Mannheim, is expanding its portfolio of VisuNet FLX series operators and monitoring workstations, adding versions for outdoor use and expanding the temperature range for use to -20 °C to +50°C. The new aluminum housing not only ensures optimal heat dissipation, but also withstands the harsher outdoor conditions. The product is lightweight and can be easily installed through a variety of mounting methods.

High performance and adaptability
The VisuNet FLX human interface platform offers an impressive variety of configuration options. The series can be used as a complete HMI system with aluminum or stainless steel housing, panel mounted or box PC, with each display size of 15.6, 19 or 21.5 inches (39.6 cm, 48.3 cm or 54.6 cm). Depending on your needs, the computer unit can be configured as a remote display, a powerful PC with an i5 processor and up to 16 GB of memory, or as a direct monitor.
PPD512A10-150000 VisuNet FLX can be configured as a PC, remote monitor (based on thin client technology), or direct monitor.
The remote display is equipped with the latest generation VisuNet RM Shell 6 firmware for the thin client solution, based on Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021. It has access to virtualized process control systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES). The firmware supports all common remote protocols, including Microsoft RDP and VNC, as well as web browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. With the additional VisuNet Control Center software, all RM Shell-based thin client devices can be centrally managed, updated, and controlled. This saves time-consuming operations and routes to individual devices.
