Parker Hannifin Corporation (NYSE: PH) Parflex, a pioneer in motion and control technology, recently expanded its hose portfolio with the introduction of Electric Cooling Hoses (ECH). ECH hoses are suitable for the transfer of coolant from electric vehicle cooling systems. The modular design of the hose series not only meets the pressure and temperature requirements of the industry, but also its lightweight and PTC connection PM857K02 design makes installation easy and fast.
Driven by the global commitment to carbon reduction and environmental PM857K02 regulatory compliance requirements, there is a growing demand for smart devices and advanced technologies. Parflex ECH is suitable for both ethylene glycol and hydraulic oil transmission, and will help manufacturers create best-in-class cooling line connection solutions.
Steve Powell, Business Development Manager, Parflex Division, said: “Parker is able to provide application-specific solutions that meet and exceed the requirements of the industries we serve. We understand that the use of customized cooling joints can be challenging, so we have developed ECH hoses to help achieve complex pipe arrangements of different shapes. The ECH hose is made of lightweight thermoplastic materials and will maximize the range of the rechargeable vehicle.”
The ECH hose uses VDA connectors for PM857K02 unlimited full flow to significantly reduce pressure drop, while the PTC connection makes installation easier. It is made of nylon filled with high performance glass fiber and is sealed with an EPDM o-ring for use in water-based coolants.
“ECH hoses have been extensively tested for the electric vehicle market, and customers have access to a complete overview of design and validation testing,” Powell said.
The Parflex ECH hoses are available in 14 mm, 18 mm and 22 mm sizes and are available in loose pack or thermoformed design. The applicable temperature range is -40°F (-40°C) to 212°F (100°C).
