With the popularity of automation applications, more and more industries through effective safety automation control to ensure safe production, which safety sensor applications are faced with a variety of environments, both clean plants and comfortable production environment and production environment is more harsh scenes, such as logging factories, metal grinding factories, robot welding factories, etc. For some production environments with large dust concentration, foreign body sparks splashing, and obvious differences in temperature, humidity and light, it is particularly suitable for effective safety monitoring with safety radar system.
3300/16-14-01-03-00-00-01 The working principle determines the application scenario
Safety radar system is a kind of safety detection product based on FMCW technology, namely FM continuous wave technology, launched by PILZ company. The basic principle is that the frequency of the transmitted wave changes with time according to the law of triangular wave, and the frequency of the received echo changes with the same law of the transmitted frequency (both are the law of triangular wave), but there is a time difference. Using this tiny time difference, the target distance can be calculated, and then judged according to the calculated distance and the built-in safety distance of the radar controller, so as to ensure the effective monitoring of personnel when approaching and quickly transmit the correct signal to the safety controller.
Based on the characteristics of the detection principle, the safety radar sensor has strong robustness and can be stably monitored in harsh environments. Moreover, the monitoring of the radar is a three-dimensional area, which can achieve comprehensive coverage of the detection area.
New models, new features
PILZ safety radar system not only safety performance indicators can reach PLd, SIL2, Cat3 levels, and the latest model in this series also has FSoE function and F-FOV function, these two new functions, what is the practical significance?
FSoE is an application protocol that belongs to the EtherCAT network. FSoE function is a functional security data transmission protocol that can meet the SIL3 level between FSoE devices. The safety radar system 3300/16-14-01-03-00-00-01 with FSoE can be quickly integrated into the EtherCAT network, enabling easy acquisition of safety sensor signals, reduced wiring during implementation, plug and play and certified safety solutions, while enabling multiple diagnostic options.
The full English name of F-FOV is Focused-Field of view, and the launch of this function fully reflects PILZ’s focus on product development and the ultimate pursuit of product functionality.
For traditional radar sensors, the detection area can only exist in a conical or fixed form, while the FOV model can realize the adjustment of the area within the original detection range, which can not only realize the left and right symmetric area scaling and the left and right independent area scaling, but also can be switched to the corridor type area detection, with rich detection area setting capabilities.
In addition, the FOV family also introduced the F-FOV LR product (long range), which extends the detection range from 5m to 9m, enabling a wider range of safety monitoring.
