In response to the industry’s extensive demand for embedded functional safety (FuSa) solutions in recent years, industry leaders including Parasoft recently announced the formal establishment of the FSG(Functional Safety Expert Group). As a sharing and collaboration platform specializing in embedded functional safety (FuSa),FSG is committed to providing one-stop technical advisory services, products and development resources related to functional safety certification to assist the embedded functional safety (FuSa) industry to enhance the value of functional safety certification to meet the industry standards IEC 61508 and vehicle regulation ISO 26262 and other certification requirements.

Kiyo Uemura, Vice President, IAR Asia Pacific, said: “With the industry’s demand for functional safety certification consulting increasing day by day, the ability to quickly provide customer certification solutions will be critical to accelerate their products to market. FSG was established to create an instant communication platform for members to share industry information and stimulate valuable technological innovation. Since its inception, the alliance has received support from key industry partners, including SGS and Parasoft, and it is clear that the industry recognizes its importance. We expect FSG to play a leading role in the development of functional safety and make a positive impact on the embedded Functional safety (FuSa) industry.”
SGS Technical Manager and Functional Safety Expert David Cheung said: “The establishment of FSG represents the convergence of expertise and experience of member partners, which will play a strong value in strengthening cooperation in the field of functional safety. Knowledge sharing and collaboration among members through the platform is essential to meet the challenges of rapidly evolving technologies and increasingly complex industries. SGS is pleased to join FSG and its alliance partners in expanding the understanding and application of the Embedded Functional Safety (FuSa) standard.”
Jiang Xinyu, Deputy Director of Andes Marketing, said: “Functional safety is an important part of the product development stage in the automotive industry, and compliance with ISO 26262 ensures that automotive components have a high level of safety from the start. FSG provides an important functional safety information platform to share technical information related to functional safety in the industrial chain, such as the ISO 26262 Full Compliance RISC V CPU IP provided by Andes, including basic automotive MCUS, ECUs, DCU Processors for a wide range of BMS, BCM, IVI, ADAS and other applications, combined with technical resources such as inter-member vehicle scale chips and hardware and software, make it easier to evaluate embedded functional safety (FuSa) development and accelerate the achievement of automotive device design goals.”
DYTP123A Stanley Eu, Regional Director of Parasoft Southeast Asia, said: “The importance of functional safety is rapidly increasing at every application level in embedded systems (FuSa). To minimize the time and effort required to research and obtain Embedded Functional Safety (FuSa) certification for enterprise customers,Parasoft believes that through the joint efforts of leading partners from all sides of the FSG alliance, we will provide the most appropriate solution for our customers.”
“The establishment of FSG confirms the rapid growth of the functional safety market,” said David Wong, Associate Director of Embedded Processing BD at Renesas Electronics. With FSG, companies can obtain certification solutions optimized for industry-specific security requirements, making it easier and faster to verify product safety. We are excited to join this alliance and look forward to working together to upgrade the overall functional safety supply chain through the effective integration of relevant application examples, domain technologies and experience.”
In the FSG founding conference, alliance members and common hope to promote resource integration and industrial cooperation, continue to cultivate functional safety sharing platform, and assist customers to solve functional safety certification challenges, hope to gather industrial energy of all parties, create a new bureau of functional safety development. At the same time, in order to provide all sectors of the industry and more complete and instant functional safety related information,FSG also announced the operation of the website FSG.TW, through real-time update of the latest industry news, technology and consulting services, to connect and match alliance members, provide customer customized services, to create a new model of industrial cooperation.
