The report said: “China is the undisputed leader in factory automation and the largest market for industrial robots. In 2022, 50% of the world’s robot installations will be located in China, reaching 290,258 units.”
According to data from the International Federation of Robotics, the number of global robot systems put into use reached a new high by the end of 2022, breaking through 500,000 units for the second time in a row, and reaching 553,000 units a year.

“The 2023 results will be published in mid-2024, and the total number of robots is expected to reach 600,000, according to the International Federation of Robotics,” the report said.
In 2022, the global average deployment density of industrial robots will be 151 robots per 10,000 industrial employees, double the level of six years ago. The countries with the highest levels of industrial automation are South Korea (1,012 robots per 10,000 employees), Singapore (730) and Germany (415).
