It is reported that the Distributed Acoustic Sensing system (DAS) is an optical instrument that uses optical fiber as a sensor to sense acoustic vibration. In a DAS system, a single fiber is used as a continuous, distributed sound and vibration sensor that can monitor and analyze sound, vibration and other signals in real time. Compared with all kinds of traditional sensors, the system takes the communication cable itself as the sensing unit, with intrinsic safety, no electromagnetic interference, high sensitivity, long life and other characteristics, in the long distance, high precision, continuous distributed vibration monitoring has incomparable advantages, widely used in disaster prevention and reduction, material exploration, pipeline inspection, perimeter security, traffic safety and other fields.
AVF234SF132 Experts said that the traditional DAS is limited by its inherent technical principle, in the sensing distance, spatial resolution, response bandwidth, strain sensitivity and other key indicators are mutually restricted, if you want to improve the response bandwidth, it is necessary to reduce the spatial resolution, its performance indicators have a strong coupling relationship, can not have both.
In 2019, relying on the advanced technological achievements of the State Key Laboratory of “Regional Optical Fiber Communication Network and New Optical Communication System” of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, based on TGD-OFDR (Time-gated Digital Optical frequency Domain Reflectometer) technology, Pu Niu Technology has overcome problems such as sensing distance, spatial resolution, and coherent fading noise. The HiFi-DAS distributed optical fiber acoustic wave sensing system has been successfully developed. This high performance DAS technology route, through decoupling, comprehensively improves the four core indicators, and eliminates the measurement blind area of traditional technology, and realizes the high availability and high reliability of the system. At present, Pu Niu HiFi-DAS can achieve a sensing distance of 100 km and a spatial resolution of 1 m at the same time, the detection response frequency band is 0.001 HZ-100 kHz, and the minimum peak-to-peak value of the strain signal is better than 3 pε/√Hz.
