According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size in May increased by 5.6% year-on-year and 0.3% month-on-month. The value added of equipment manufacturing increased by 7.5% and that of high-tech manufacturing by 10.0%, which were 1.9 and 4.4 percentage points faster than all industries above designated size, respectively.

In May, with the continuous promotion of large-scale equipment renewal policies, the added value of radio and television equipment manufacturing, communication equipment manufacturing and other industries increased by 30.7% and 15.7%, respectively.

The enterprise production index of PMI in May was 50.8%, continuing to expand; The expected index of production and operation activities of enterprises was 54.3%, which remained at a relatively high level. Second, the efficiency of enterprises continued to improve. In the first four months of the year, the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 4.3%, which is conducive to strengthening production momentum.
