The PQF Premium Quality Finishing mill is the world’s most advanced limited-motion mand-rod continuous rolling pipe unit, which uses a three-roll frame to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional two-roll frame and better pass closure, representing the highest level of hot rolled pipe production today.

PCIe-6374 Angang Seamless factory φ177PQF continuous rolling mill was put into operation in 2007, with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, the product specifications are φ73-180mm*5-16mm.

The original transmission of the unit adopts an international brand feedback rectifier and high-power inverter. The rolling mill has five drives, including 15 rolling mills, 4 limited motors, 4 off-tube motors and 3 VRS motors. This test machine replaces the #2 group with the largest rolling load, three 600kW motors. Original inverter specifications 11K7, heavy power 1060kW, 1100A; It is controlled by PLC via Profibus-DP.

Due to the upgrading of the 177 production line, the requirements for continuous rolling mill have been further improved, requiring the rolling of special steel with thinner wall and harder material, and requiring rapid passing of steel, the original transmission can not meet the technical requirements, coupled with a longer period of time, facing difficulties in the supply of spare parts and other problems. Therefore, Angang decided to replace the original equipment, and its requirements are as follows:The Profibus-Dp bus communication control can be used to seamlessly replace the original transmission, and the customer does not need to change the program
The speed accuracy, speed fluctuation, torque accuracy and torque response of PQF continuous rolling mill must meet the requirements of dynamic speed drop
The PG-free vector control of the drive should meet the technical requirements of steel rolling and ensure the continuity of production
