Seven years ago, I took off my PhD uniform and put on blue overalls to become a research and development staff member at Siasun. In recent years, with the goal of “let Siasun industrial robot technology level catch up with foreign countries, to achieve domestic robot core controller self-research and development”, I go all out to conquer the industrial robot controller innovation and development highland, help Siasun industrial robot in the international market competition, polishing the “China’s” smart “made” plaque.
MT91-ARC In March 2023, a domestic car company found us and proposed to customize a set of robots to fill the domestic gap – 210 kg heavy-duty spot welding robot car assembly line. After more than half a year of research and development, we finally entered the production line test stage. At this point, the problem arose: the welding quality and data communication met the customer’s requirements, but the movement time was 10 seconds slow, and the entire production line was disrupted.
How to break the game? The robot hardware cannot be changed, the controller cost cannot be increased, and the performance must be stable after speeding up. A bunch of constraints are thrown at us. If the software solution can not be solved, can only re-select the hardware, which means to pay a huge cost of time.
I thought at that time, the simulation data is no problem, but in reality, the jitter occurred, indicating that it is beyond the hardware limit, if the program is written a little simpler, it is possible to solve this problem. So, in the face of tens of thousands of program codes, I began to carefully disassemble, repeatedly deduce, after thousands of calculations, and finally, the real machine test was successful. The development of a new generation of industrial robot controller calibration algorithm and trajectory planning algorithm has made breakthrough progress, and the relevant functions have passed strict testing, and will be promoted and applied in the high-precision welding process, and we have finally conquered the high-end technology in the field of automotive spot welding.
MT91-ARC Today, Siasun’s new generation of industrial robots endowed with “smart brains” by our team have been successfully applied in the factories of many well-known domestic automobile brands. The robot is equipped with a new generation of intelligent control system developed by Siasun based on complex conditions and advanced spot welding software package to achieve high speed, high load, high efficiency and high stability of spot welding operations. Multiple robots can cooperate with each other, and at the same time, it can combine industrial Internet and big data application to collect, monitor and analyze real-time data of production line operation and welding quality. It has achieved a milestone breakthrough in the high-end application of domestic robots.
Now, we are constantly exploring the road of upgrading and transforming the core components of industrial robots. I look forward to the Siasong industrial robot equipped with a new intelligent controller “brain” to gain a foothold in the high-end application market and become the “anchor” for the stable and efficient development of China’s manufacturing industry.
