GE’s VMIVME-4140 is a high-performance 32-channel, 12-bit analog output board designed for industrial automation and control systems. With its high accuracy and reliability, this module meets the needs of complex motion control and precise position feedback applications.
The VMIVME-4140 has 32 analog output channels, each equipped with an independent 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), capable of delivering up to 10mA of output current with an output impedance of only 0.8Ω. The module supports random update (non-scanning) mode, allowing dual-buffered output to be updated by software or external synchronous signal, ensuring flexibility and real-time output.
The module’s automatic calibration function is triggered by system reset or software commands, ensuring the accuracy of the output. When calibration is performed, bias and gain correction tables are compiled for each channel in all six voltage ranges and stored in RAM. In addition, the VMIVME-4140 also has a self-test function, which improves the reliability of the system through on-board diagnostic testing capabilities.
The VMIVME-4140’s front panel provides status LED indicators, analog output connectors, and reference voltage access for real-time monitoring and operation. The module is suitable for data acquisition system, control system, precision simulation excitation and automatic test equipment (ATE).
In addition, the VMIVME-4140 module supports a variety of output range options, including unipolar (0 to +10V, 0 to +5V, 0 to +2.5V) and bipolar (±2.5V, ±5V, ±10V), which can be selected by software to suit different application needs.
All in all, the GE VMIVME-4140 is ideal for industrial control, data acquisition, test and measurement applications with its high performance, versatile output range options, software or external synchronous update capabilities, automatic calibration, self-check capabilities, and rugged design
