General Electric (GE) recently introduced the IS220PTURH1A, a high-performance turbine protection module designed specifically for the Mark VIe Speedtronic system. This module inherits GE’s rich experience in industrial automation control and incorporates the latest technological innovations to provide users with stable, reliable and efficient protection solutions.
The IS220PTURH1A module has a variety of protection functions, including over speed protection, over temperature protection, over pressure protection, under pressure protection and bearing vibration protection, etc., to ensure the safe operation of gas/steam turbines under various working conditions. The module uses 24V DC power supply, the response time reaches the microsecond level, and the communication rate is up to 1Mbps, which can meet the real-time protection needs.
The modules are designed with ease of use and maintainability in mind, and have a modular design for easy installation and maintenance. Its high reliability is due to the redundant design and the use of high-quality components to ensure the stable operation of the system in harsh environments. In addition, the IS220PTURH1A supports automatic reconfiguration to automatically download updates from the controller to I/O packages, including base load, boot load, firmware, and parameters, which must be enabled in the Toolbox ST application.
The introduction of the IS220PTURH1A module further enrichis GE’s product line in industrial automation and control systems, and its high performance and reliability make it ideal for gas/steam turbine protection in the power, petrochemical, Marine and aerospace industries.
