The MVME2431 is a high-performance VME processor module from MOTOROLA based on the PowerPC 750™ 32-bit microprocessor with 32KB/32KB L1 cache and 1MB L2 cache on the back end. The module supports on-board error Correction Code (ECC) SDRAM capacities ranging from 32MB to 512MB, and can be customized with up to 1MB of on-board firmware or user-specific storage capacity. The MVME2431 also comes with 8MB of on-board flash memory, as well as built-in debug monitoring and self-diagnostic capabilities.
In addition, the MVME2431 offers two 32/64-bit PMC expansion slots with a front panel and P2 I/O interface, as well as a 64-bit PCI expansion sandwich connector. It also includes 8K x 8 NVRAM and clock with replaceable battery backup, an asynchronous serial debug port, four 32-bit timers, a 16-bit timer, and a watchdog timer. The MVME2431 is also equipped with a 10/100Mb/s Ethernet interface and VMEbus’s Level 4 requestor, Level 7 interrupt generator, and Level 7 interrupt processor.
