The Kongsberg Maritime RCU501 is a high-performance, versatile real-time process control computer designed for a wide range of system applications in onshore and offshore installations. It uses the embedded Power PC™ architecture, has a 667 MHz processor frequency and 64 MB memory, with powerful data processing and logic control capabilities, Suitable for a variety of applications including dynamic positioning systems, thruster control/steering systems, navigation sensor integrators, integrated process control systems, alarm and monitoring systems, and safety systems.
The RCU501 has multiple communication interfaces, including dual Ethernet LAN, dual RedundancyNet interfaces, dual Remote IO process Bus (RBUS), four universal digital input/output channels, 32 serial lines, two PROFIBUS channels, and two CANBUS channels. Support Modbus, NMEA 0183, PROFIBUS/PROFIsafe, CAN/DeviceNet and other protocols, and can provide third-party vendor specified protocol support.
