The Kongsberg Maritime RCU510 is a remote controller unit specifically designed for industrial process control. It is based on real-time single board computer (SBC), with remote I/O bus driver and I/O processing controller, providing a rich set of I/O interfaces. The RCU510 is capable of running process control system applications and interfacing with different bus and I/O systems.
Key features of the RCU510 include:
The 32-bit CPU, running at 400 MHz, is equipped with 32 MB of 64-bit, 133 MHz SDRAM with error correction code (ECC).
16 MB flash memory for storing programs and data.
20 analog/digital input/output (AI/AO/DI/DO) channels supporting multiple signal types such as current, voltage, PT100 or potentiometer.
4 relay output channels for controlling high power loads.
Eight additional analog input/output channels supporting a ±10V signal range.
All input/output channels (except the four relay output channels) are monitored in a loop to ensure the reliability of signal transmission.
A digital signal processor (DSP) is built in to control the remote I/O (RIO) subsystem and data filtering.
Seven general purpose RS-232/422/485 serial line interfaces, two of which are isolated.
Single serial process Bus (SPBus) interface for connecting remote I/O (RIO) units.
Dual CAN bus interface and dual Profibus interface (adapter card required).
Dual Ethernet LAN interface (10BASE-T/100BASE-T) supports high-speed network communication.
Low power design, typical power consumption is 20W.
The RCU510 is designed to meet several international standards, including IEC 61131-2, IEC 60945, and has received type approval from Det norske Veritas (DnV) and the American Classification Society (ABS). It has an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, a storage temperature range of -25°C to 70°C, and a protection rating of IP20.
The controller unit is suitable for the field of Marine automation system and robot control, which can realize the precise control and efficient operation of Marine equipment, and also has a wide range of applications in industrial automation system.
