ABB’s CI869K01 is a high-performance AC 800M communication interface that connects to the AF 100 fieldbus via twisted pair (TWP), providing a reliable communication solution for industrial automation and control systems. The CI869K01 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, communication unit, and DC/DC converter to provide the necessary voltage from a +24V power supply via the CEX-Bus.

This communication interface supports connection with the AC 800M controller, enabling it to receive data from other AF 100 sites/devices as an AF 100 site. The CI869K01 features an integrated twisted pair modem and can be configured to support Advant Fieldbus 100 redundancy, enhancing system reliability and fault tolerance by using two CI869K01s.
