Basler Electric announced the launch of the DECS-250-CP2CA1P, a new model of the DECS-250 digital automatic excitation control system. With its compact design, flexible features and user-friendly interface, this advanced control system provides precise voltage, reactive power and power factor regulation of the power system, as well as superior system responsiveness and generator and motor protection.
The DECS-250-CP2CA1P model is equipped with a powerful 15-amp pulse-width modulation (PWM) power stage that quickly responds to load transients, ensuring a timely system response to abnormal conditions. Its design is based on advanced microprocessor technology, providing broad scalability, flexibility and reliable operability. In addition, the system has true RMS measurement capabilities, can handle single – or three-phase voltage and current, and has a wealth of built-in generator measurement and protection functions.
To meet stringent grid specifications, the DECS-250-CP2CA1P is also available with an optional power system stabilizer (PSS), which enhances the stability and reliability of the power system. The system also provides a variety of communication options, including USB, RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus and Ethernet for easy integration with various control systems.
Basler’s BESTCOMS Plus® software further simplifies the setup and commissioning of the DECS-250-CP2CA1P. The software features intuitive drag-and-drop programming logic and real-time charting, as well as automatic PID selection, greatly reducing setup time and debugging costs.
The launch of the DECS-250-CP2CA1P once again demonstrates Basler Electric’s technical strength and innovation in the field of digital excitation control systems, providing an efficient, reliable and cost-effective solution for power systems worldwide.
