GE has introduced a new 8206-TI-IS module, an 8-channel thermal resistance (RTD) input module designed for industrial automation and control systems. The module supports 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire RTD formats and provides high-precision 16-bit resolution with a response time of 600 ms and a system current consumption of 120mA. The 8206-TI-IS module’s independently configured channels and open-circuit fault-independent detection make it ideal for use in applications requiring high precision temperature measurement.
The 8206-TI-IS module is designed with an open architecture and can be used with multiple bus interface modules (BIM) or controllers to communicate with multiple fieldbuses. Designed to withstand harsh industrial environments, it resists extreme temperatures, humidity, corrosive substances, shock and vibration, ensuring full performance even in harsh environments.
In addition, the 8206-TI-IS module supports PROFINET System redundancy (PNSR), allowing for synchronization of independent controller service I/O and seamless switching between primary and secondary controllers, thereby increasing process reliability and reducing unplanned downtime. The module is flexible and can be mounted on DIN rail, suitable for a variety of industrial control panels.
The introduction of the 8206-TI-IS module further enriches GE’s product line in industrial automation, providing customers with a high-performance, highly reliable control solution to meet the increasingly complex needs of industrial automation
