Bently Nevada recently launched a new process variable monitor, 3500/62-04-R0. This 6-channel monitor is designed for the continuous monitoring of key parameters of machine tools such as pressure, flow, temperature and level. The 3500/62-04-R0 is capable of receiving a current input of +4 to +20 mA or any proportional voltage input between -10 Vdc and +10 Vdc and adjusting it to compare it with a user-programmable alarm set point.
The main functions of this monitor include:
Continuously compare monitoring parameters with configured alarm Settings to drive alarms for mechanical protection.
Provide necessary machine information to operation and maintenance personnel.
The 3500/62-04-R0 process variable monitor can be programmed through the 3500 rack configuration software to perform current or voltage measurements. It offers I/O modules for three signal input scenarios: +/-10 volts DC, isolated 4-20 mA, or 4-20 mA with intrinsically secure Zener barriers. When used in a three-mode redundancy (TMR) configuration, the process variable monitors must be installed next to each other, in groups of three, with two voting methods to ensure operational accuracy and avoid loss of mechanical protection due to a single point of failure.
The introduction of 3500/62-04-R0 further enrichedBently Nevada’s product line in the field of industrial monitoring and control systems, bringing new options to the global industrial automation market. The monitor’s high precision measurement, real-time monitoring and alarm functions, as well as its strong programmability and reliability, make it ideal for the industrial sector.
