Woodward Corporation has announced the introduction of 5466-1002 power modules in its newest MicroNet family of digital controllers. Designed for prime movers that require fine control, this new model of power module is capable of working with simple or redundant cpus to provide 220 volts AC input for a variety of industrial control applications.
The 5466-1002 module is designed to meet the stringent requirements for controlling prime movers such as compressors, gas turbines, diesel and gas engines, water turbines and steam turbines.
It complies with several international standards, including CSA, ATEX, CE (EMC and LVD), ABS and DNV, ensuring application compliance worldwide. In addition, the module supports use with graphical application programmers or GAP software to provide a systematic approach to logic programming for prime mover control.
The 5466-1002 module can be installed in a full-size case with 14 VME slots or a narrow case with 8 VME slots, providing users with flexible installation options. Its launch further enriches Woodward’s product line in industrial automation and process control and is expected to play an important role in improving production efficiency and optimizing control strategies.
