National Instruments (NI) today announced the introduction of the PXIe-8135 controller module, an Intel Core i7 embedded controller for PXI Express systems designed for processor-intensive, modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications. The introduction of the PXIe-8135 module is expected to play an important role in improving the performance of automated testing, real-time control and data acquisition tasks.
The PXIe-8135 module is equipped with a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7-3610QE processor, which can reach 3.3GHz in single-core Turbo Boost mode, providing powerful processing power. The module comes standard with 4 GB (1 x 4 GB DIMMs) dual-channel 1,600 MHz DDR3 RAM, expandable up to 16 GB, ensuring sufficient memory resources to handle complex data tasks.
In addition, the PXIe-8135 module includes two 10/100/1000 Basic -TX (Gigabit) Ethernet ports, two SuperSpeed USB ports and four high-speed USB ports, as well as an integrated hard drive, serial ports and other peripheral I/O, providing a wealth of connectivity options. These interfaces allow the PXIe-8135 to easily connect and exchange data with various external devices.
The introduction of the PXIe-8135 module further expands NI’s product line in the PXI Express area and is expected to play an important role in improving the data processing capabilities of industrial automation systems, reducing operating costs, and improving production efficiency. The module’s high performance and reliability make it ideal for automated test systems (ATE), real-time control systems, data acquisition and processing tasks, and measurement and monitoring systems in industrial environments.
