Bently Nevada, a leading provider of mechanical condition monitoring and protection solutions, recently launched the 3500/42-01-00 Proximitor Seismic Monitor. This four-channel monitor is designed to meet the needs of high precision vibration and position measurement and is suitable for rotating machinery in a variety of industrial applications.
The 3500/42-01-00 module can receive the signal input from the eddy current displacement sensor and the speed and acceleration sensor, and drive the alarm according to this input. It can be programmed with 3500 Rack Configuration Software to monitor and report a variety of parameters including radial vibration, axial position, eccentricity, differential expansion, acceleration, speed, and more. In addition, the module supports user-programmable alarm setpoints, as well as configuring alarm and danger setpoints for each valid static value.
The new monitor has been designed with the harsh requirements of industrial environments in mind, capable of stable operation at extreme temperatures and with high power efficiency. The introduction of the 3500/42-01-00 module is expected to play an important role in improving the monitoring and protection capabilities of industrial machinery and reducing unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
