Bently Nevada, a leading provider of industrial monitoring and diagnostic solutions, recently released the latest module of its 3500/91M EGD Communication Gateway module, the latest addition to its 3500-series monitoring system. The module, model 190798-01, is designed to provide comprehensive communication capabilities that allow real-time monitoring and control of various monitoring values and conditions on 3,500 racks.
The 3500/91M EGD Communication Gateway module supports multiple communication protocols, including EGD (Ethernet Global Data) version 2.01 and Ethernet UDP/IP, ensuring compatibility with modern industrial control systems. The module complies with the IEEE802.3 standard and supports 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX (Twisted pair) Ethernet standards, providing response time information suitable for the controller application.
Designed with the harsh conditions of the industrial environment in mind, the module is capable of stable operation over an operating temperature range of -30 to 65°C and has a typical power consumption of 7.4 watts. The front panel indicators of the 3500/91m EGD communication Gateway module show its operating status and communication status with other 3500 rack modules.
In addition, the module requires 3500 configuration software version 3.70 or higher, as well as 3500/22M TDI (Transducer Data Interface) to communicate with the monitoring module. The TDI firmware requires version 1.20 or higher, and only one EGD per rack is allowed.
The release of the 3500/91M EGD communication gateway module further enhances Bently Nevada’s product line in the field of rotating equipment monitoring and is expected to play an important role in improving industrial production safety and reducing the risk of failure.
