Today, after more than 30 years of scientific research, what is the development level of domestic control system and what is the development focus in the future? With these questions, recently reporters interviewed one of the main designers of the intelligent decentralized control system in the electric power industry, national energy group Guoneng Zhishen Control Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter called “Guoneng Zhishen”) Party committee member, deputy general manager Tian Yucong.
DCS is important to the national strategy
At the end of May last year, the National Energy Group Guodian Power Bulian Power Plant #2 unit successfully completed the domestic intelligent transformation and upgrading of distributed control system (DCS), and realized 100% localization of key chips, 100% localization of operating system, and 100% independent development of platform software and application software source code level.
iDCS (Intelligent Distributed Control System), known as the “intelligent brain”, is a key device to ensure a stable supply of electricity, Tian said. In order to improve system security, Guoneng Zhishen promotes the demonstration application of intelligent decentralized control system with complete independent property rights in Bulian Power Plant.
After the completion of the transformation, the control system of thermal power units has been comprehensively improved to an autonomous, safe, controllable and intelligent level, providing an important guarantee for the safe, efficient, flexible, intelligent and less human operation of the units. The security of system access is effectively controlled, there is no background data leakage risk, and it has significant advantages in technical problem solving, after-sales response time, smooth language communication and other aspects. It provides referential experience for domestic decentralized control system for Chinese similar enterprises, and has positive significance for ensuring the security of Chinese energy production and supply.
It is reported that the intelligent decentralized control system of Bulian power plant is only a typical case of Chinese industrial automation, intelligence and localization. In 2006, it completed the first 600MW subcritical unit project using domestic DCS — Hebei Longshan Power Plant 2×600MW subcritical direct air cooling unit control system project. In 2021, it undertook the first demonstration application project of autonomous controllable intelligent decentralized control system — PowerChina Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd. to upgrade the DCS in Bulian Power Plant. Guoneng Zhishen has been committed to the research and development, design, manufacturing and promotion of large-scale automatic control system of major technical equipment, adhering to the road of safe, independent and controllable innovation.
“Decentralised control systems are important to the country’s strategy. We have not only made power plants’ think ‘, but also replaced key chips locally instead of using foreign products and technologies, freeing them from being controlled by others.” Tian Yucong said.
Up to now, the DCS products developed by Tian Yucong research and development team with complete independent property rights have been widely promoted and applied to 300MW, 600MW, 1000MW and other grade units, realizing nearly 3000 sets of various engineering applications, with a cumulative output value of more than 3 billion yuan.
