On April 26, the 1 millionth charging pile produced by ABB Electric Transportation Intelligent Factory in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province officially rolled off the production line and was successfully delivered to Shanghai SAIC Anyue Charging Technology Co., LTD., marking another important milestone for ABB electric transportation’s high-quality development in China and the release of its production capacity. The offline product is ABB EVinn TA 7kW AC charging pile, which is one of the representative products of ABB Electric Transportation AC charging pile produced in China.

The production site has 9,000 square meters of photovoltaic system, which can cover 86% of the roof space. In 2022, ABB Electric Transportation will connect a new set of energy storage and comprehensive energy management system to the factory, forming a smart micro-grid system integrating “light, storage and charge”.
By incorporating energy storage and integrated energy management into the PV system, the system smoothes the power generated by PV and facilitates local uptake of renewable energy. At the same time, through the peak valley arbitrage, the system can further reduce the electricity cost, effectively improve the operation efficiency, but also alleviate the impact of high-power charging on the power grid, improve the stability of the system. When the transformer capacity of the park is insufficient, the smart microgrid system can realize disguised capacity expansion to save capacity charges and line expansion costs. Through the application of the optical storage and charge micro-grid system, the green energy utilization rate of ABB Electric Transportation Intelligent factory in Pinghu, Zhejiang can be increased to more than 70%, and the power capacity of the factory can be supplemented under the condition of power restriction, further guaranteeing the operation of the factory. In addition, the intelligent micro-grid system of the factory is also connected with ABB 480kW high-power liquid-cooled supercharging system. This supercharging product can simultaneously recharge four electric vehicles, realizing the fast charging of 200 kilometers in 5 minutes, bringing a new revolution for green travel.
