The industrial Internet is becoming a key support for the transformation of China’s manufacturing industry from “Made in China” to “made in China”. Wang Peng, the first level inspector of the Information and Communication Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said on April 18 at the 2023 China Industrial Internet Identification Conference and industrial Internet integration into the park “100 cities and 1,000 parks” (Beijing) activity that the scale of China’s industrial Internet industry has reached 1.2 trillion yuan, stepping into a key stage of scale development.

At the same time, in recent years, positive progress has been made in our industrial Internet identification system from scratch to large. The application of industrial Internet signs has covered 40 industries such as automobile manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, iron and steel, and has been fully integrated into the research and development, procurement, production, storage, logistics, sales and other links of industrial enterprises.

Industrial Internet has entered a critical stage of scale development

According to reports, the rapid development of China’s industrial Internet has formed its own knowledge system, practice results and practice path, and constructed a Chinese plan to match the development stage of China’s manufacturing industry, and consolidate, improve and innovate in parallel. The industrial scale has reached 1.2 trillion yuan, which has fully integrated into 45 national economic categories, providing strong support for the high quality development of economic and social. Generally speaking, the three systems of Chinese industrial Internet network, platform and security have begun to take shape.

Wang Peng said that China’s industrial Internet has entered a key stage of scale development. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will adhere to the theme of high-quality development, accelerate the scale development of industrial Internet, and focus on the following four aspects of work:

First, we will adhere to policy guidance. To study and formulate guidelines for the high-quality development of the industrial Internet, it is a key task to build an independent and controllable sign parsing system. We will formulate a three-year action plan for the analysis of industrial Internet signs, and accelerate the expansion of signs into production and manufacturing, supply chain traceability, and green and low-carbon safety supervision. Further implement the industrial Internet sign management measures, strengthen the effectiveness of the industrial Internet sign development assessment, in order to evaluate and promote industrial development.

Second, we will improve the infrastructure system. Optimize node layout at all levels, continuously improve the analytical service, security guarantee and central access capabilities of national top-level nodes, and enhance the external service level of international root nodes. Promote the secondary nodes to gradually expand to the city level and the park level, and improve the service capacity and level of scale for all industries.

Third, we will deepen application and expansion. Strengthen the adaptation of sign parsing system to software and hardware such as enterprise information system, industrial Internet platform and industrial APP. The “One Hundred Cities and one thousand Parks Tour” activity of industrial Internet integration into the Park will be deeply implemented, and the demonstration benchmark of industrial Internet sign application will be created to accelerate the extension of sign application to more vertical fields.

The industrial Internet platform is a barometer to observe the development of the industrial Internet industry, after the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the “2022 Industrial Internet Platform Development Index”. It shows that the development index of industrial Internet platform in 2022 reached 251, with a year-on-year growth of 17% and a growth rate of more than 15% for four consecutive years. The sub-index is accelerating, and the platform presents an evolutionary development trend of “aggregation-precipitation-empowerment”.

Fourth, we will foster an industrial ecology. We will speed up efforts to break through weaknesses in the scale development of signs, and promote the integrated development of sign parsing technology with 5G, blockchain, artificial intelligence and other related technologies. Give full play to the joint efforts of government, industry, university and research to speed up the improvement of the identification analysis standard system. Create a number of industrial Internet system solution suppliers, create a mutually beneficial and win-win ecology.
