Alafalava launches new condition monitoring software with built-in analytics. The new Afalavra Analytics online status monitoring software leverages artificial intelligence to help healthcare customers prevent unexpected outages, extend the life of valuable assets and achieve sustainability goals.

Afalava’s Analytics is a value-added feature that can be added to most old and new models of Afalava pump units. The solution offers a one-year subscription service that covers online installation, training on dashboard usage, and ongoing technical support.

All-weather guard

Analytics collects and analyzes pump vibration data 24/7. The solution was developed with the idea of leveraging the benefits of artificial intelligence technology to help plant operators and managers do their jobs and give them peace of mind. Analytics comes with a simply-designed dashboard that provides customers with a clear and intuitive overview of device health. Green means normal, yellow means caution, orange means warning, and red means immediate action.

“Operators and plant managers are able to check the status of the plant anytime, anywhere, using equipment they carry with them. They can simply open the app’s dashboard to check the health of the pump and take action if necessary to avoid huge losses due to unplanned outages.” Torsten Pedersen mentioned.

Analytics can not only detect failures, he says, but also identify potential causes of failures, such as misaligned pumps, process improvements or mechanical failures.

Torsten Pedersen added: “With the diagnostic capabilities of the Analytics tool, operators and technicians can find problems faster and fix them before any damage is done. “If customers use Analytics to continuously monitor pumps and follow recommendations for inspection and repair, we can even extend warranties on equipment.”

Afalavar Analytics’ ability to predict failures and identify parts that need to be repaired or replaced lays the foundation for a predictive maintenance strategy that avoids additional costs and prevents unplanned outages.
