On May 19, 2023, the “2023 Low Code · No Code Industry Conference”, sponsored by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as “China ICT”) and China Communications Standardization Association, undertaken by Cloud Computing Standards and Open Source Promotion Committee of China Communications Standardization Association and supported by enterprise digital development co-construction and sharing platform, was held in Beijing. Under the theme of “Reshaping Digital Engine to Enjoy the modern chapter”, the conference announced the latest evaluation results of “Low Code and no code”, and released the “2023 Low Code and No Code Market Research Report” and “2023 Low Code and No Code Application Case Collection”.
Dai Xiaohui, Vice Chairman and Secretary general of China Communication Standardization Association and Wang Aihua, deputy chief engineer of China Information and Communication Academy attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. At the ceremony of the establishment of the main forum and the release of results, the latest developments and research results of the low-code and no-code promotion Center were announced. During the lecture and sharing session, the leaders and guests of Cloud Computing and Big Data Institute of China Information and Communication Academy, State Network Information, China Post, Beijing Rail Transit, Kingdee, NetEase Sufan delivered keynote speeches.
Dai Xiaohui said that the process of digital transformation of enterprises is accelerating gradually. As a key technology to improve the productivity of application research and development of enterprises, low-code and no-code technology has gradually become the main way for enterprises to build business applications in various scenarios by virtue of its flexible, agile and easy-to-use development ability. In recent years, with the deep integration and application of low-code and no-code technology and various enterprise scenarios, the development features of the national top-level policy support has been strengthened, the integration of technology and application has been deepened, and the standardization has been continuously improved. In the future, it is hoped that the development of low-code no-code industry can implement key national policies, continuously promote the integration of technology and industry, and accelerate the improvement of the low-code no-code standard system.
Wang Aihua said that with the explosive growth of digital scene, low-code no-code technology plays its advantage of “short and fast” development, gives new ability and flexibility to software research and development, and becomes an important engine to accelerate the process of enterprise software, promote business integration, and promote enterprise internal connectivity. After years of practice, low-code no-code technology is forming a good industrial development map. In the future, adhering to the development orientation of “national high-end professional think tank, industrial innovation and development platform”, the institute will continue to promote research from the aspects of standard construction, industrial research, and industry platform around the development and industry application of low-code no-code technology, gather the organizational strength of industry, university and research, gather industrial consensus, and jointly promote the development of low-code no-code ecology.
The meeting announced the evaluation results of the low code no code standard system in the first half of 2023, including enterprise-level low code development platform technology grading evaluation, application scenario-oriented low code development platform function, low code development tool ability, information technology application innovation low code development platform function requirements, this batch of low code products from 11 enterprises passed the evaluation.
The Low Code Connectivity Laboratory was formally established under the enterprise digital development co-construction and sharing platform, aiming at unifying the requirements and protocol specifications of life cycle management and improving the flexible deployment and migration ability of low code products and upper applications through the interconnection of materials of different particle sizes such as components, blocks and templates to the asset package collection of low code platform expansion ability. The first batch of laboratory members are from China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, China Construction Credit Jinke, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, China Mobile, China Unicom, Alibaba, Huawei Cloud, Baidu Cloud, Whale Technology.
