In 2022, the company recorded a turnover of 403.3 million euros, with sales increasing by 15.8%. The export share in 2022 rose 1.1 percentage points to 76.3 percent. Piermagnetic has shown particularly strong growth in Asia.
In addition, by 2025, the company will invest approximately 38 million euros in its global production sites in Ostfildern, Germany; Betschdorf, France; Bad Ragaz, Switzerland; and Jintan, China. To expand and update its SMD manufacturing, relay production and internal logistics.
Staff numbers are also growing
Automation company Peer Magneto had 2,399 employees in 42 countries as of Dec. 31, 2022, a 2.7 percent increase. In Germany, the number of employees was 1,010 (as of December 31, 2022), an increase of 1.7%. The company traditionally runs a professional in-house training program: on 31 December 2022, there were 43 students at its headquarters, including 21 students from Baden-Wurttemberg Cooperative State University.
Outlook: Industrial information security guarantees productivity
Peer Magnetic is expanding its products and services in the field of industrial information security, providing support in the form of services and training in addition to technical solutions. “In the next few years, the entire industry is facing a huge challenge in terms of security. Thomas Pilz, managing partner at Pilmagnetic, explained: “To ensure productivity, machines must be protected from malicious manipulation and unauthorized access. Companies also have to adapt quickly to changing legal provisions, such as the new Machinery Regulations or NIS II. We support our customers through this process.”
