At present, the development of intelligent manufacturing in our country enters the key “window period”. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant departments have issued the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing and the Action Plan for the Development of Intelligent Testing Equipment Industry, making new arrangements for the innovative development of intelligent manufacturing.

According to Mei Shunqi, an academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and a professor at Wuhan Textile University, the “two-carbon” strategy has had a profound impact on the manufacturing industry, and intelligent manufacturing technology is driving the transformation of manufacturing production methods. Series of intelligent demonstration production lines of textile production process have been gradually established, involving spinning, chemical fiber filament, knitting, printing and dyeing, nonwovens, clothing, etc.
Mei Shunqi also reminded that although intelligent textile manufacturing has made great progress, it is still in the development stage of automation and digitalization, and in the initial stage of intelligence. At present, only the basic realization of automation, numerical control and information, is not the real sense of “intelligent”. It should be noted that it is still difficult to “intelligentize” clothing production. Based on the existing textile technology, the level of single machine intelligence still needs to be improved, and the gap between the core components/system and the advanced level of foreign countries is obvious.
