Recently, we achieved another milestone with the delivery of our 75,000th cobot, and we remember this shining moment in the way it belongs to cobots.
From the end of 2020 to the middle of 2023, from 50,000 units to 75,000 units, the change is not only the ring, the increase is not only the number, which is the footprint of UAO constantly enabling enterprises to intelligent production automation.
Enterprise mission
From 2020 to 2023, the company’s performance continued to breakthrough growth, from $311 million in 2021 to more than $85 million in a single quarter in 2022. While continuously optimizing products, we are also constantly iterating UR+ ecosystem, so that our products can be widely used in all walks of life, and can be easily adjusted and deployed in different tasks to truly achieve our new mission: Automation for Anyone. Anywhere.
Product innovation
With products to drive change, with technology to lead the future – in the past three years, Youao has continuously upgraded product research and development, so that collaborative robots can enter more industry fields, show more outstanding skills, and become “excellent employees” of industrial automation.
myUR: The entire service conversation in one platform
myUR allows end users to directly manage robot information, reducing downtime. UR has been committed to responding within 4 hours, simplifying service and repair processes.
Enhanced UR10e
In May 2021, the company introduced the enhanced UR10e, which increases the robot’s payload to 12.5kg, making it a new choice for palletizing, machine management and packaging applications at the same price.
UR20
A 20 kg payload, 1750 mm working radius, weight of only 64 kg, increased torque of all joints by approximately 25% and joint speed by 65%(depending on joint size), providing unprecedented motion control. The UR20 has been completely reconfigured to take cobot performance to a new level, redefining cobots on a global scale.
Grow together
The past three years, for Youao people, is in the process of seeking new growth together for three years.
On March 1, 2021, Kim Povlsen, 38, officially became the president of Youao Robotics, and the history of Youao has opened a new chapter.
On April 20, 2022, UR and MiR joined hands to build a world-class joint headquarters in Odense, Denmark. The building, which will house up to 600 employees, will be a world-renowned center for collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots when completed in early 2024, and will host even bigger dreams of intelligent creation in the future.
In May 2022, another training center was opened in Stockholm, Sweden, bringing the total to 100 certified training centers in 23 countries around the world, designed to provide customers with state-of-the-art robotics training to help them maximize the potential of collaborative robots. Our goal is to have UR certified training centers close to you, no matter where you are located.
With the process of industrialization, the team of Youao is also growing. At the end of 2022, the number of global employees of Youao Robots exceeded 1,000 people’s Congress. It also suggests that the gears of global automation are still accelerating.
Wise, peer
The user group of Youao robot is increasingly large, advanced application scenarios and customer types are thus emerging in endlessly, and the intelligent future that we all yearn for has begun to take shape.
Sino-german Institute: Expanding the boundaries of intellectual creation
In the process of designing Industrial 4.0 intelligent production, the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Institute encountered many problems and challenges, such as personalized customization, programming, flexible deployment, limited space, and the most important thing is human-computer interaction and collaboration. The composite robot composed of Youao and MiR provides a complete solution for the industrial intelligent production environment of the entire institute.
The UR arm works closely with the MiR100 robot to smoothly complete the loading and unloading work and material transportation at each station. Highly flexible and not limited by location and workspace, increasing adaptability and efficiency. Composite collaborative robots operate safely together and can work smoothly with workers in dynamic environments.
Toyota: Accurate identification, cost reduction and efficiency
When Toyota Motor Hokkaido introduced collaborative robots in 2021, the challenge was to keep the production beat within a specified time frame and find a way to identify the workpiece. They used the force and torque sensor (F/T sensor) built into the robot to detect the reaction force of the claw when it touches the workpiece.
In the end, Toyota Motor’s Hokkaido plant successfully built its own robotic system using Uao collaborative robots, which not only reduced cost and space, but also increased the operating speed from 92% to 98% compared to the old system.
Siemens: 6 years, from 1 to 70
The Siemens Erlangen Equipment Plant (GWE) has faced a “labor shortage” in recent years due to a lack of skilled workers.
In 2017, the UR10 was put into operation as the first collaborative robot at the Erlangen Equipment plant, and his task was to transfer cardboard boxes from delivery piles to pallets – giving them a real experience of the efficient art of human-robot collaboration. Today, GWE is using more than 70 UAO cobots, and the trend is growing.
As the market matures, customers today are better equipped than ever to provide valuable feedback and suggestions for product development, and they understand requirements better than anyone.
Youao has always been closely focused on the real feedback of customers and constantly innovate and iterate, hoping that the products can accurately grasp the needs of customers. It is believed that in the future, the form of “co-creation” will be further developed.
75,000 units, is a number that makes us more courageous to move forward, like a beacon, so that we are more determined in the scene needs, ecological collaboration, customer insight and other aspects of continuous deep cultivation, to provide more solid support for the development of industrial intelligence.
