On June 15, 2023 Industrial Internet Conference was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Zhang Yunming, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, and Zhao Zhiguo, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over the opening ceremony.

It has created Chinese brands such as “5G+ Industrial Internet” and 5G factories, and the industrial Internet has grown from scratch and from small to large, with an industrial scale of more than 1.2 trillion yuan. The new generation of information and communication technology has promoted the continuous improvement and upgrading of the internal and external networks of enterprises, the identification analysis system has been fully established, the cross-industry and cross-field platforms have reached 28, and the security technology service system has been increasingly improved. The industrial Internet has been integrated into 45 national economic categories, and “5G+ Industrial Internet” has landed in thousands of industries and extended to the core links of production. Central enterprises and large private enterprises in many industries drive the upstream and downstream development of the industrial chain, small and medium-sized enterprises are active in innovation, and the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance has become the world’s largest ecological cooperation carrier in the field of industrial Internet.

Zhang Yunming said that the industrial Internet is an important cornerstone of the fourth industrial revolution, a key base for the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and a strategic infrastructure for new industrialization. Adhere to strategic guidance, optimize and improve the policy system for the innovation and development of the industrial Internet in the new era, and study and issue guidelines for promoting the high-quality development of the industrial Internet. Adhere to the problem-oriented, strive to crack the pain points and difficulties that restrict the scale promotion of the industrial Internet, accelerate the construction of a technical system, a standard system, and a product system, and turn the “point” into a bead and a chain of beads. Adhere to demand traction, accelerate the construction of application systems covering key enterprises, key industries, and key regions, and create a good situation for enterprises to enter, capital investment, and market use.

During the conference, a new session of the Industrial Internet Strategic Advisory Expert Committee was held, and Vice Minister Zhang Yunming and Chief Engineer Zhao Zhiguo issued letters of appointment for the director, deputy director and member representatives of the second Industrial Internet Strategic Advisory Expert Committee. At the same time, the conference released the first batch of 20 5G factory demonstration benchmarks, covering key industries such as electronic information, equipment manufacturing, raw materials, and consumer goods.

The conference is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, with the theme of “Empowering data with data Intelligence – Promoting new industrialization with high quality”. Relevant units of the Industrial Internet special working group, relevant departments and bureaus within the Ministry, affiliated institutions, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Communications Administration, Suzhou Municipal people’s Government, responsible persons of relevant cities and cities, as well as relevant entrepreneurs, technical experts and industry representatives participated in the conference.
