The global market leader in Mobile Robots, Mobile Industrial Robots (hereinafter referred to as: MiR today announced that its MiR600 and MiR1350 Autonomous Mobile Robots-AMR have received the TUV Rheinland Certification mark (” TUV Certification “), an independent third-party testing organization. The agency tested 13 safety features for the MiR600 and MiR1350 AMR and recognized that their safety levels strictly meet the high requirements of the ISO 13849-1 industry standard. This authoritative international certification further confirms the safety and quality of MiR AMR, which can bring stable and reliable internal logistics solutions to more manufacturing enterprises.

TUV is one of the most rigorous certifications in the world, with a history of 150 years. As an independently operated technical safety and quality inspection organization, TUV provides quality and safety verification work for enterprises, governments and all types of organizations. TUV certification verifies the following 13 safety features for the MiR600 and MiR1350 AMR:
1. Emergency stop
2. Overspeed detection
3. Field Switching
4. Personnel detection
5. Speed monitor
6. Safeguard stop
7. Locomotion
8. Hold to run
9. Mode selection
10. Pallet lift position monitoring
11. System E-stop
12. Shelf lift position monitoring
13. Shelf detection
Jean-Pierre Hathout, President of MiR, said: “TUV certification is important for MiR and helps to increase customer trust in our AMR technology and the MiR brand. The certification mark from TUV Rheinland means that MiR AMR meets the highest international safety and quality standards. Because MiR AMR is located in the factory and always works with the employees on the shop floor, there is also a need to generate greater trust between AMR and the employees. Therefore, safety issues have also become the top priority of the company’s management and development, and will also become an important direction of our continuous certification and development in the future. ”
IP52 waterproof and dustproof, to achieve large volume pallet and material handling
The MiR600 and MiR1350 robots, which received the safety certification mark, can carry 600 kg and 1,350 kg respectively. The two products are the first industrial robots on the market today to achieve the Ingress Protection52 (IP52) rating. The IP52 represents the protection level achieved by the two AMRs, which can prevent the entry of dust and water droplets, protect the components intact, and is suitable for challenging and even harsh industrial environments. Both AMRs are equipped with industrial-grade components and cables for long service life, easy maintenance and easy operation, and can be used in warehouses, logistics centers and other environments for the handling of large weight, large volume pallets and other materials.
In addition, through the MiRGo platform MiR600 AMR and MiR1350 AMR, multiple out-of-the-box lifting devices can be configured to further refine product functions, complete rich loading and unloading work such as pallets and shelves, and meet the diversified transportation needs of internal logistics in the manufacturing industry.
Equipped with a fully automatic palletizing system, heavy material handling is automated
In the case of the MiR1350 robot, thanks to a collaboration with the Dutch company CSi Palletizing, the MiR1350 AMR can be seamlessly integrated with the palletizer with a top conveyor module. Amrs with conveyor belts are automatically linked to the palletizer’s fixed conveyor belt to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of pallets to the palletizer location, fully automating the transportation of heavy pallet materials in the manufacturing industry.

This feature is especially useful for businesses in the e-commerce boom season. According to the “618 consumption” big data released by Suning Tesco, the customer flow of the platform store increased by 147% last year, and the order volume of home appliances “one-stop consumption” increased by 132% year-on-year, and the growth of consumer enthusiasm is the pressure of massive order delivery faced by the e-commerce team. Many enterprises begin to transfer goods to be sold in advance to the warehouse of the logistics company to minimize the impact of trunk transportation on the delivery of orders, but in spite of this, the internal logistics of the manufacturing industry still faces the dual requirements of efficiency and accuracy. All MiR AMR technologies, including MiR600 and MiR1350, are flexible to deploy, autonomous to navigate, and easy to use without laying tracks or making any physical changes to the warehouse environment. And its safety features ensure that in a noisy and compact environment, it can still sensitively avoid obstacles, avoid the risk of injury to personnel and materials, and achieve timely and accurate transportation of materials.
Peidong Chen, Vice President of Sales at MiR Asia Pacific, said: “Over the past two to three years, as customers have become more aware of AMR technology, their interest in third-party documentation of AMR technology safety has increased, especially for manufacturing companies such as internal logistics, which are facing severe order pressure, and satisfying these needs is a core goal of MiR. We are committed to continuously going beyond the basic requirements of our customers and pushing our technology to higher industry standards by expanding the application scope of relevant certifications. “
