Professor Wang Chengshan of Tianjin University, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, power system distribution network technology expert, made a report entitled “Microgrid technology and Application”. Wang Chengshan said that the microgrid is a highly integrated autonomous system of source/load/storage, which can be connected to the grid and can operate independently, and can achieve local balance control of renewable energy and load fluctuations, which is a major innovation in the flexible and efficient use of distributed energy. As an important supporting link of the large power grid, microgrid will become a powerful means to solve the problem of distributed energy grid connection, and is a key link in a series of major changes in the new power system.
Zhao Yongqiang, director of the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, made a report on the topic of “Prospects for the development of new energy systems under the dual carbon Goal”. Starting from the vision of renewable energy development under the goal of global carbon neutrality, Zhao Yongqiang elaborated the connotation and characteristics of the new energy system. He said that the key issue of future energy development is how to release the flexibility of the system, especially the flexibility of the user side, and improving the flexibility of the system is the core task of the future new power system/energy system.
Li Hong, a researcher at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared the keynote report “Advanced solid-state battery Technology for Microgrid Energy Storage”. Li Hong analyzed the demand of microgrid for energy storage, and elaborated on the solution of microgrid energy storage system based on solid state battery. He said that the requirements for the energy storage cell of the microgrid energy storage system should start from the application scenario, and comprehensively consider safety, cost, life, applicability and efficiency. The maturity of microgrid energy storage battery technology needs to promote the collaborative development of industry, university and research, and build a solid state battery industry chain and innovation chain.
Liu Yongdong, deputy Secretary-General of the China Electricity Council, published a report entitled Accelerating the construction of industrial microgrids and Promoting the interaction of electric vehicle networks. Liu Yongdong said that the V2G technology in the two-way interaction technology of electric vehicle charge and discharge (V2X) is a gradual evolution process, and at present, orderly charging and industrial microgrids have basically met the conditions to be promoted and used. The new energy vehicle battery as a flexible resource in the power grid, resources through aggregation, both as a controllable load, but also as distributed energy storage, play a “power sponge” role.
Yu Dexiang, chairman of Tereide & Special Call, made a keynote report on “Industrial Microgrid based on large-scale electric Vehicles to promote Energy Revolution”. Yu Dexiang defined the microgrid: “Microgrid is a small AC-DC power generation system supported by a large power grid that integrates distributed photovoltaic, electric vehicle charging, discharge, energy storage, wind power and so on under the scenario of enterprise parks or charging stations.” Microgrid can realize the local consumption, storage and balance of new energy power generation, charge with light and wind, realize the charging of new energy vehicles, realize the efficient interaction of active distribution network, and is a new carrier of a new power system. “Distributed microgrids of tens of millions can solve energy security and become emergency centers for enterprises.”
Zheng Yaodong, special strategic expert of Southern Power Grid Company, shared the theme report of “Energy storage thinking of New energy abandonment”. Zheng Yaodong talked about the development status of new energy and energy storage, shared the case of domestic new energy abandonment, and triggered the thinking and exploration of energy storage. He said that the source network load can be called “three pillars”, the gap between the volume of energy storage and the source network load is too large, and energy storage will never become the fourth foot of the system, because it is not the supply of the source and the demand of the load. Use value play is the only way out of the development of new energy storage.
Gong Chengming, vice president and chief scientist of Special Call, shared the report “Microgrid + Virtual Power plant Enabling Green Industrial Park”, respectively introducing the technical requirements of microgrid, the market potential of private vehicle discharge and the practice of virtual power plant platform. Gong Chengming said that the battery calendar life and private car life is equivalent, and the mileage will evolve to more than 700km, the cycle life within the calendar life is generally less than 500 times, the cycle life will have a lot of surplus, great potential, controlled discharge process may improve the health level of the battery. Enabling a green industrial park through a combination of microgrids and virtual power plants will make the park greener and support systems more secure and economical, making the difficult triangle of the energy industry a reality.
Yang Minghui, deputy general manager of Shandong Power Trading Center, published a special topic entitled “Power market and energy storage” sharing, he believes that the system side energy storage, user side energy storage income are related to the wholesale market and retail market, calculation of energy storage income can not only from the power spot market, but should be integrated with the entire power market. When users have energy storage, they may also have distributed power sources. Distributed power supplies and users, energy storage as a consortium to participate in the market, there are a variety of operational combinations. User-side energy storage will be the future of investment blue ocean.
