Recently, 2023 Schneider Electric Innovation Summit was held in Wuzhen. At this summit, Schneider Electric announced a number of technological innovations, including the official release of EcoStruxure Open automation platform V23.0 for the Chinese market, covering the application of this software-centric platform to discrete, hybrid and process industries to further promote industrial IT/OT convergence. It provides unprecedented end-to-end efficiency and information security for the whole life cycle of enterprises from design, engineering development to operation and maintenance, enabling more industry customers to upgrade and improve efficiency.
At the same time, Schneider Electric also launched the EcoStruxure AI engine, an enterprise-level one-stop, scenario-oriented and open AI model production and operation platform, which integrates the expertise in the field of energy management and automation into the AI model, providing low code and even zero code AI applications for business experts, data analysts and other users.
Open automation and artificial intelligence is one of the technical topics in focus at this summit. Yang Hang, business Marketing Director of Industrial Automation China, said that open, software-centric industrial automation makes future industries more sustainable and resilient. Schneider Electric is also leveraging AI to enhance many of its software and solutions to help customers make agile decisions in areas such as electrification, automation and decarbonization.
The continuous iteration of the EcoStruxure open automation platform is a disruptive technological innovation
“Open automation is a complete disruption to the field of automation.” Yang Hang pointed out that the closed automation system strongly bound by hardware and software has led to poor compatibility and lack of interoperability, which has become a barrier to the rapid upgrading of enterprises to enjoy the digital dividend, and is preventing the industry from realizing the vision of the fourth industrial revolution, and the open automation based on the IEC61499 standard. It lays a solid foundation for the portability of industrial automation applications.
