On June 16, the country’s first “robot +” indoor and outdoor integrated AI delivery solution was officially launched in the China Post Express Logistics Headquarters, marking the new upgrade of China Post in the “robot +” intelligent delivery solution.
China Post launched the “outdoor unmanned vehicle + indoor robot” integrated intelligent delivery solution, relying on the outdoor unmanned vehicle “super chassis + super brain”, connect different indoor robots for intensive sharing, scale collaboration and real-time scheduling, build indoor and outdoor integrated unmanned distribution mode, and create a “1+X” end AI shared transport capacity logistics network. It can be applied to home and door-to-door logistics services such as commercial buildings and large parks, which can greatly improve the utilization rate of intelligent equipment such as unmanned vehicles and robots, which is more than 50% higher than the traditional end distribution efficiency and more than 30% higher than the same type of intelligent logistics efficiency. During the commissioning period from March 15 to May 9, about 30 deliveries were made daily, with each delivery lasting about 5 minutes, and the cumulative delivery time saved was about 3910 minutes.
The outdoor unmanned vehicle put into the pilot by China Post has L4 unmanned driving capability, adopts the current industry-leading modular design of vehicle and cabinet separation, and the container can be customized according to the needs of the service scenario. At the same time, the deep fusion sensing technology of multi-source sensors based on space-time alignment realizes seamless switching of indoor and outdoor high-precision positioning, and has “five protective monitoring” based on Lidar, ultrasonic sensors, target recognition cameras, emergency stop buttons, flexible anti-collision strips, and “three operating modes” of autonomous driving, on-site remote control driving, and remote parallel driving. Indoor robots have complete perception and cognitive function components and mature positioning and navigation function components. In the application of intelligent iot in indoor elevators, the robot integrates elevator logic, realizes efficient and autonomous one-click call, electronic door and gate iot, opens and closes the door intelligently near the target, and realizes autonomous obstacle avoidance in the building. Its narrow distance through, across the ditch crossing ability in the industry is in a leading position. In the process of solicitation and delivery, the robot can interact with customers through SMS, telephone and other means, so that customers can experience better delivery services.
In the pilot start-up verification on the same day, the outdoor unmanned vehicle docking indoor robots, mail room operation robots to send express packages to the door, small program order robots to send coffee to the door, EMS small program order delivery robot door-to-door pick-up scene functions were successfully realized.
The pilot launch of the “robot +” indoor and outdoor integrated AI delivery solution is an attempt by China Post to accelerate digital transformation and create new advantages of digital intelligence. In the future, we will continue to optimize the “robot +” indoor and outdoor integrated AI delivery solution, and provide park building level vertical and horizontal integration and whole-process intelligent delivery services for commercial buildings, government offices, college parks and other places. It is understood that China Post will promote the first trial in some provinces, continuously optimize and iteration according to customer experience and service scenarios, and explore the construction of “China Post robot + operation center” in office and commercial buildings, as a unified interface to undertake all logistics in the building, vertical intelligent connection to every customer in the building, and horizontal formation of ecological self-circulation inside and outside the building. Coordinate all the business of the receiving ecosystem in the building, and explore the business model of “building robots + new retail”, as a new extension of the service purpose of “people’s post for the people”, and strive to meet the needs of the people for a better life with mail.
