Cables are used for:
– Electrical connection of an attachment to an equipment unit of the information technology equipment;
– Connecting the interconnected equipment units in the system; or
Connect a unit of equipment to a communication network or cable distribution system.
Such a cable can connect any form of circuit from one device unit to another.

M1: Measures for the external walls of buildings in indoor installations (substations) can adopt one of the measures in M1.1 to M1.3 as protection against external contact voltages. The M1.1 exterior walls are made of non-conductive materials such as masonry or wood, avoiding the use of grounded metal parts that can be reached from the outside. The M1.2 is moderated by a horizontal grounding electrode connected to the grounding system. The horizontal grounding pole is about 1 meter away from the external wall, and the burial depth is not more than 0.5 meters, and the recommended burial depth is 0.2 meters to 0.3 meters. M1.3 Insulating treatment at the site of operation: The layer of insulating material shall be of a sufficiently large size so that it is not possible to reach the electrically conductive part of the ground by hand from a location other than the insulating layer. If the contact can only be made on the side, the width of the insulation layer is 1.25 meters is sufficient. The insulation at the site of operation is considered adequate if: – a layer of gravel or crushed stone of at least 100mm thickness – a layer of asphalt with a suitable base (e.g., asphalt on a gravel base) – an insulating mat of at least 2.5mm thickness with a minimum area of 1m x 1m, or measures to ensure equivalent insulation.
